Mammalian Cell Culture
This research group focuses on the process development of recombinant suspension cell cultures in stirred bioreactors from 0.5 to 15L. Regarding regulatory conditions within the industrial production environment different methods for monitoring and advanced control should be developed. These methods are based on simple data-driven and classical model approaches which include not only typical off-line measurements but easily detectable on-line signals. The control strategies use these information allowing for high batch-to-batch reproducibility. Additionally, several optimization algortihms regarding growth and recombinant protein formation could be investigated more accurately.
